So this is my final project design of the semester. I'm undecided on whether or not I like the design. I like things that are more detailed, but I'm glad that I tried something different. Craft for this project was very hard, major props to all of the students who mocked up their projects neatly. During the critique, it was suggested that I limit the amount of pencils used and either take out the rounded turtles or try and make them more geometrical. Below is an image of the design and layout of my final project.

I like the looks of it!
So even though, I wasted alot of time searching for the perfect template, I finally started the design. I have to say that this is some of my best work. I'm still worried about how the box will turn out, but knowing that I have a design gives me comfort. At the bottom I have posted some of my designs in progress.

More package redesign ideas. Why can't I make up my mind already?
I am going to repackage some DIXON pencils. Although pencils aren't the most exciting thing to package, at least they are small. The specific type that I will be repackaging will be the multicolored pack. It will be packaged in a box with a viewer that will be in the shape of an animal and the pencils themselves with be the color of the animal.
Update:
If I have time I want to package two pencil sets. One set will be targeted towards children, while the other will be targeted towards adults. The children's set will feature a a box that opens from the middle. The box design will consist of a turtle and some scenery that imitates the rainforest. This package will come with a card insert of a turtle and information regarding its habitat. On the back of the box will be more information on how buying this pack of pencils will help save the rainforest. For example "With every purchase of Dixon multicolored pencils 10% or 10 cents will be donated to help save an animal in the rainforest." The adult pencil set will feature a top and bottom box similar to jewelry box. The color scheme will be black and white or green and white. The front of the box will say Dixon and made with 100% wood. The box design will look like tree carvings or the texture of tree trunks. All pencils in both pencil sets will be sharpened.
